EX-PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Nanyang is a thriving city in Henan Province with a population of nearly 12 million people. It is the largest rose production city in China and features the best standard (tree) roses I have ever seen.

The Chinese Rose Society, the China Flower Association and the City of Nanyang feel honoured to host this World Federation of Rose Societies Regional Convention and will be ready to welcome all rosarians and ensure we have a rewarding and memorable experience.

Nanyang’s rose gardens and annual Rose Festival are amazing and will surprise and delight visitors. The region’s tradition of jade carving began 2000 years ago and is still as popular as ever. It’s jade carvings by master craftsmen are exquisite and among the best in the world. Outside the Jade Exhibition there are pavilions filled with stalls, selling jade jewellery of every kind.

The modern and comfortable Nanyang Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Centre are conveniently in the same location. The organisers and citizens of Nanyang will ensure we are well looked after. The program offers an opportunity to visit extraordinary gardens, ancient historic sites and enjoy Nanyang’s culture and delicious food.

The pre and post tours include many new destinations and experiences which have not been included in past conventions.
